Apple's become carbon neutral soon

Apple has set a goal to become carbon neutral across its entire supply chain, including manufacturing, transportation, and the use of its products, by 2030. The company has already made significant progress towards this goal, reducing its carbon footprint by 44% since 2015.

To achieve carbon neutrality, Apple is implementing several strategies. These include increasing the use of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower, improving energy efficiency in its facilities and data centers, using recycled materials in its products, and working with suppliers to reduce their carbon emissions.

Apple is also investing in carbon removal projects, such as reforestation and forest preservation, to offset any remaining carbon emissions that cannot be eliminated. The company has committed $200 million to the Restore Fund, a collaborative effort with Conservation International and Goldman Sachs, to support these efforts.

Apple has stated that its carbon neutral goal is not only an environmental imperative but also a business opportunity. By reducing its reliance on fossil fuels and transitioning to renewable energy sources, the company aims to reduce its operating costs and create a more sustainable and resilient supply chain.
